We're a cafeteria-style soul food kitchen in Natchitoches, and the name tells you what's behind the counter. We cook the way people cook at home, and you'll taste it.
The menu changes every day
There's no fixed list here. You walk the line, see what's cooked that day, and pick your meat and sides, with cornbread or a roll on the tray.
The smothered pork chop
If you see it on the line, get it. It's smothered in gravy and tender enough to cut with a fork.
Étouffée and gumbo
Shrimp and crawfish étouffée goes over rice with a side of green beans. Our gumbo has shrimp and sausage.
Come say hi
We like to walk out and introduce ourselves to the people eating here. It smells like home cooking when you come in.
