Mac N Cheese and sweet potato casserole go right alongside the pork chop, and there's a piece of cornbread on the tray.

If it's on the line, try the fried fish, or the crawfish étouffée over rice. And the gumbo's worth a bowl.

Amazing southern cooking happening here!!! A good friend invited us to lunch at one of his favorite places, he promised delicious food. Food is served cafeteria style. I had the shrimp & crawfish ettoufee & green beans and hubby had the smothered pork chop steaks. Delicious, comfort food. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is SO good. The food tastes homemade in the best way, like real soul food made with love. Everything was flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and the portions were more than enough. The vibe is super welcoming and the service is great everyone is friendly and makes you feel comfortable right away. This is the kind of place you go when you want comfort food that actually hits. If you’re craving real soul food, this spot does not disappoint. I’ll definitely be back.

The food here is wonderful. The menu rotates from day to day. We came in on a Sunday, and although I don't remember the exact offerings, I do remember that I had the smothered pork chop. I'm not a big gravy guy, but this was one of the most tender pork chops I've ever eaten. I chose the sweet potato casserole and Mac N Cheese as the sides with a piece of cornbread and a Dr Pepper. The sweet potato casserole was good, but could be better. It reminded me of pumpkin pie filling. The Mac N Cheese,…

When I walked in the aroma of home cooking got my attention in a good way. Friendly service and great food. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere gave me the feeling that locals came here often. The owner even came and introduced himself and was very kind and friendly. So if you want that great lunch plate special and home cooking, this place is a must go to. It was our first time in Natchitoches for the Christmas lights and it was a great introduction…
